Love how they transformed the space from the old Buzzard Beach. Very kiddo and pet friendly. The food was amazing! Our server was very helpful. He had great suggestions. We had a two plate combo with brisket and ribs, charred bits with grits, fried pickles, macaroni and cheese, and sweet potato fries. Everything was very tasty, and I can't wait to go back. We also had an old fashion and a margarita. Both were tasty.
It seems that every time I’m near Westport I end up eating at CharBar. Consistently delicious BBQ. The smoked chicken nuggets are one of my favorites. The beans and corn are great sides, and I’d recommend any of the meats. All have been outstanding. Bonus- there’s a parking garage adjacent to this location.
Very ample and cute place! Definitely going back for their side dishes (Mac n cheese, onion rings and potato salad)… Their Chimichanga special, was not my favorite… However their peach dessert is way above and beyond on how good it is! Professional staff. Great beer. Nice calm and fun ambiance!
Such a good place for a great BBQ Sandwich! To start, I had their cornbread and it was good. I also enjoyed trying their CBGB Burger, which was delicious in every bite! It was juicy, packed with flavor, and tender. Highly recommended. My spouse had their Brisket Cheesesteak and it was also delicious! The place is a fun one to be for a fun social day out, with clean restrooms, plenty of open space, attentive servers (especially Keyonna), and parking space in the surroundings. Highly recommend this place.
Delicious! Everything was amazing. I got pulled Pork butt sandwich. It comes dry, but I prefer that since I loved mixing the spicy and sweeter sauce together. Pigtail Mac and Cheese is meatless but still phenomenal! My friends got the ribs and smoked chicken nuggets (which is an appetizer but makes an amazing entree), and I definitely had a little plate envy. I got to try the nuggets, and I can't wait to go back and get my own! Service was phenomenal. Our server was very patient while we chatted amongst ourselves and had a little bout of indecisiveness. Really cool setup outside. Perfect for a hangout while getting lunch or dinner with buddies. All in all. Very awesome
Delicious! The hush puppies were the best I HAVE EVER HAD! They have a softened center that is different from your traditional hush puppy. The charred bits n grits was the perfect showcase of their best items. The burnt ends were melt in your mouth. The service was amazing. The atmosphere was diverse. You had booths tucked away, tables under bright lights, a bar and a fun outdoor area. Easy parking. Can’t say enough how great our experience was. And to end the night we had the peach bread pudding! Mmm
Food was amazing! Our server James was fast and right on time when we needed anything! I got the Punch Drunk Love cocktail and would definitely recommend it to everyone! Even though they were busy they got us sat quick and got food out so quick! Made our trip worth it!
5 Stars — Brunch Goals Achieved Char Bar - Westport, you sneaky little brunch ninja. I came in expecting a decent meal and walked out spiritually awakened by an iced Joe that hit harder than my alarm clock on a Monday. That thing had me ready to run a marathon or at least pretend I go to the gym. I ordered the Avalocado omelette because I like my brunch with a side of healthy denial, and let me tell you—it was cheesy, green, and downright beautiful. I would write sonnets about it if I weren’t so busy eating. Service? Immaculate. Our server was faster than a group text when someone says “I’ve got gossip.” And the manager? Super friendly and personable—like the kind of person you’d invite to Friendsgiving after one solid convo. In short: Come for the food, stay for the vibes, leave with a full belly and a weird emotional attachment to an omelette. 10/10, would brunch again.
